Dental Insurance: We work with most insurance plans and will gladly submit a claim to your insurance company at the time of service. We are very knowledgeable about most of the dental insurance offered in our area. If you have more questions or want to discuss your personal dental insurance situation, give us a call.
HMO – The HMO insurance limits you to only being able to get dental benefits if you go to a specific dentist in their plan. You can of course still come to our office but you would not be able to receive any benefits.
PPO – Usually a PPO allows you to go to any dentist, within or outside your network and will cover a portion of the work that you get done. With these types of benefits, you can go to any dentist, but the dollar amount that they cover may vary.
Dental benefits are a contract between your employer and your insurance company, therefore offering benefits based on the cost of the policy to your employer. Since this contract does not include you or your personal dentist in the defining of you benefits, it many times does not cover the entire fee associated with you procedures.
Dental benefits were never intended to offer 100% coverage, as medical insurance does. A dental procedure, even a rather large one, will not usually have such a financial impact on someone, as would most major medical procedures. Therefore, dental insurance was originally established and is still considered a benefit or assistance toward dental costs.
Please do not hesitate to call our office or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have further questions or want to discuss your specific insurance situation.
